Munajat Perdana:)

Ummi is 26 weeks pregnant!

Today is Thursday, 25th Ramadhan..I feel very uneasy right now...During my class at 2 just now, I have to sit a while when writing on the whiteboard..I saw stars in front of me!

All aboard the same lame symptom train for one final looooong ride before arriving at the labor..noted that , the hormone factory is once again running at full-tilt - causing nausea, heartburn, as well as Sasquatch-like hair growth.

And yet another old symptom is back: breast tenderness..due to milk production kicking in.

This last thrilling third-trimester symptoms: more swelling cankles and feeling like living in a sauna box as a result of increased basal body temperature...haha...panas aje!

Thank you Allah!!

Yea right …it’s 15th Ramadhan….Alhamdulillah…so far I di d fast on all those days :) Truly grateful :)

What do you think the best profession in world is? Engineer? Teacher? Doctor? Well…..

I remembered my trip for Umrah last March. I met one uncle who used to have a hotel in Mekah…He’s an Umrah agency who stays in Mekah almost 15 years…Pak Abu.

Once we were having our dinner at Hotel in Madinah, he came to us…chit chatting….telling about his life, family and career…and we were so precoccupied to listen to his story…and hubby, having 10 years’ experience in Arab countries continued sharing with him about Arab….culture and custom…

Later, few students from Madinah university came to us….telling about their life.their journey in Arab countries…:)

And I heard someone from the tribe said …"that ‘s the best profession in world…being an Ustaz:) You have it all”

I am so blessed with what Allah had given me…a happy family, a good leader in the family…indeed, good leader:) the best part of my life:) ….. he can correct me when I read my Quran wrongly even though he was halfly sleeping next to me, even he was watching tv beside me , and even when he was cooking :) what else can I ask from Him? Alhamdulillah :):):)

Yea right..I may not a rich person, I may not have a luxury car, pretty clothes...I may not have many things that anyone can just have...yet, Alhamdulillah for the gift I received..an understanding parents, a happy family, good friends and an enjoyful life:)

I never wrote an entry about him..and this entry wasn't mean to praise him...it's just my personal thankful to my Creator , Allah , Ar Rahman..Ar Rahiim...for His blessed of lending me a person that I can trust, a person that never put Allah later than other things in the world...a person who gives more priority to his mom rather than his wife..a person who always reminds me to love Allah more than my love to my husband, kids and family..alhamdulillah:)

Inna solaati wa nusuki wa mahyaaya wa mamaati lillahi rabbil a’lamiin…Sesungguhnya solatku, ibadahku, hidupku dan matiku hanya kerana Allah!

Medan Tarbiyyah ..Ramadhan

Day 3 and 4..

Adapting to the Ramadhan environment, meals time....

Ok....:) Alhamdulillah! !

Ramadhan is indeed a very important part of every Muslim’s life. Ramadhan is the month of giving and mercy, and during this month Allah blesses the believers with forgiveness and great reward.

This is a time to stop and contemplate, to look inwards and out, it is a time to set our goals. We should ask ourselves what we want to achieve this month, - something we will carry into our futures..:)

"Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur-an, as a guide to mankind, also Clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put you to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful." Al Baqarah (1-5)

Day 2 of 2011 Ramadhan...

Day 2…

Quite ok for the morning session, afternoon, evening……alhamdulillah..pass my second day of Ramadhan..:)

We break the fast as we heard the magrib azan in the air, in line with sunnah rasullullah pbuh “My Ummah (nation) will not cease to be upon my Sunnah as long as they do not await the stars when breaking the fast.” [Saheeh al-Bukharee (4/173) and Saheeh Muslim (1093)] and he (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) also said, “The Deen will not cease to be uppermost as long as the people hasten to break the fast, since the Jews and the Christians delay it”. [(hasan) Abu Dawood (2/305) and Ibn Hibban (224)]

It was “Masak Lemak Daging Salai” by hubby yesterday… nyum nyum…he made my fav cucur kentang for the desert as well. As for me, I took kurma for my first intake as the energy booster. ..there is also hadith for this breaking fast.. "The Prophet pbuh used to break his fast before offering the (Maghrib) prayer with some fresh dates, if he didn't get any, then dried dates, and failing that too, he (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) would drink a few mouthfuls of water."(Saheeh Muslim)

Now this is the climax…As soon as I have enough with my cucur kentang, I went to toilet for my shower. While walking, I do feel something no right…yea…dizzy……

And I heard….”Azah, nak pegi tak terawih?cepat …8.15 dah kena tolak ni…dah lambat”

“Azah!!! Ya Allah…awat ni??????????????

"tu la….awat tak makan nasik tadi?Awat makan cucuq saja???”

I tried to open my eyes…found myself on the bed..Adoiiiiiiiiii!!!! I fainted in the bathroom!!! And hubby is pushing me to take panadol…ohooo…:(

Morale of the story: I CANNOT ASSUME I AM STRONG ONLY BY TAKING CUCUQ KENTANG FOR MY IFTAR. I HAVE TO TAKE RICE AS WELL!

Nevertheless, I am proud to be an Ummi!!! and I will be as strong as I can cause I know Allah tests this on my shoulder cause He knows I can handle it!! yey!!!

Ahlan Wasahlan ya Ramadhan!

Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet, upon whom be peace, said: “The blessed month has come to you. Allah has made fasting during it obligatory upon you. During it, the gates to Paradise are opened and the gates to hellfire are locked, and the devils are chained. There is a night [during this month] which is better than a thousand months. Whoever is deprived of its good is really deprived [of something great].” This is related by Ahmad, an-Nasa’i, and al-Baihaqi.

Alhamdulillah..done with my first day of Ramadhan yesterday. Not bad…as I took my sahur at a very late time ..quite near to Subuh prayer..515am.In parallel with hadith by Rasullullah pbuh where the Sunnah of sahur is to take it shortly before dawn. Narrated Anas, that Zaid bin Thabit, said , "We took the Suhur with the Prophet, pbuh. Then he stood for the prayer." I asked, "What was the interval between the Suhur and the Adhan [call for prayer]?" He replied, "The interval was sufficient to recite fifty verses of the Qur'an."

As I am now 23 weeks pregnant, fasting does not mean that I have to fast even with hunger, or I don’t have to fast. I am trying my best level to fast, since I have experienced giving birth to my two babies before in the month of Ramadhan, where I am prohibited to fast, since it was confinement period. Nevertheless, to qada’ the 30 days of Ramdhan…phewww….

There is a hadith saying “Allah has relieved the travelers of fasting and half of the prayer, and the pregnant and the breast-feeding women of the fast.” According to the Hanafiyyah, Abu Ubaid, and Abu Thaur, such women are only to make up the missed days of fasting, and they are not supposed to feed one poor person a day. According to Ahmad and ash-Shaf’i, if such women fear only for the baby, they must pay the “ransom” and make up the days later. If they fear only for themselves or for themselves and the baby, then they are only to make up the missed days at a later date.

What do you get when fasting?

1) Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet saying: “The time between the five prayers, two consecutive Friday prayers, and two consecutive Ramadans are expiations for all that has happened during that period, provided that one has avoided the grave sins.”

2) Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported that the Prophet, upon whom be peace, said: “Whoever fasts the month of Ramadan, obeying all of its limitations and guarding himself against what is forbidden, has in fact atoned for any sins he committed before it.” Ahmad and alBaihaqi related this hadith with a good chain.
