Another Test for us to be stronger...

Diagram of a normal heart : However, the baby's ventricle is smaller than usual causing problem to the heart's job to pump out oxygen throughout the body.

Subhanallah..again ...A huge test from the Almighty transited our family. This time, my bro's baby. My sis in law, expecting 6 months was diagnosed to have fetal heart problem. Test after test had been done at specialist..At the end, it is revealed that their baby had hyperplasic ventricle or Ebstein anomaly.

Hyperplasia (or "hypergenesis") is a general term referring to the proliferation of cells within an organ or tissue beyond that which is ordinarily seen (e.g. constantly dividing cells). In other words, there is an increase in the number of cells in the baby’s ventricle. Baby is having a small ventricle, which is very significant for breathing system. The right ventricle is one of four chambers (two atria and two ventricles) in the human heart. It receives deoxygenated blood from the right atrium via the tricuspid valve, and pumps it into the pulmonary artery via the pulmonary valve and pulmonary trunk.

What are the ventricles of the heart?
The heart is divided into four chambers that are connected by heart valves. The lower two chambers of the heart are called ventricles. They are separated by a septum into the left ventricle and the right ventricle. The upper two heart chambers are called atria. Atria receive blood returning to the heart from the body and ventricles pump blood from the heart to the body. Due to the force needed to pump blood to the body, ventricles have thicker walls than do atria.
Function of the Ventricles
The ventricles of the heart function to pump blood to the entire body.
Right ventricle: Receives blood from the right atrium and pumps it to the main pulmonary artery. The main pulmonary artery extends from the right ventricle and branches into left and right pulmonary arteries, which extend to the lungs. Here oxygen-poor blood picks up oxygen and is returned to the heart via the pulmonary veins.
Left ventricle: Receives blood from the left atrium and pumps it to the aorta. The aorta carries and distributes oxygen-rich blood to the rest of the body.

As for that, the baby could have breathing problem, could easily tired due to the less oxygen pump into the body or worse comes to worst, could have a short survival period…Dr. said at the moment, the baby would not feel or have any problem since he is depending on the mother’s womb. Once he is out, he would not be like other babies. Wallahu A’lam wa Bissowab…Allah knows better..

Of course the whole family of us are worried. The next test will be done this coming Thursday whereby doctor suggested to obtain some of my sis in law’s amniotic fluid to check the baby’s chromosome. This is done to ensure that there is no syndrome related to the illness. And to do this, Dr. did reminded, there will be some side effects to the baby such as there may be some internal bleeding etc…..Astaqfirullah hal A’zeem…

Dear Allah, please protect the baby..

Dear Allah, please help Najib and Yus to be strong and accept this as a test from You.

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
1. Praise be to God, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the world; 2. Most Gracious, Most Merciful; 3. Master of the Day of Judgment 4. Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek. 5. Show us the straight way 6. The way of those on whom 7. Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray. ۞1

Big Sis

She is now big sis. Me and hubby , we were so lucky that Widaad does not have sense of envy or jealousy towards her lil sis. In fact, she does loves her so much and could be count to whenever she is needed to take care of her lil sis (but only for few minutes, dont ever leave her alone with her sis more than 3 minutes...hahahah....)

Zoom in Amal Wafa'

She is now may actually be able to show her recognition towards me:) Subhanalllah...she frequently smile to exhibit an obvious recognition of her parents.Sweet..very sweet:)

Sometimes, she will probably continue to smile at strangers, especially when they look her straight in the eye and coo or talk to her.

At this point of time, she may quiet down and make eye contact with me, or she may search for me in a room whenever I were not in the catch of her eyes. The most excitement part is that she move her arms in excitement or smile when she finds me!! Somehow, when she cries that she can't find me, even I was behind her, she'll stop crying. Perhaps, she recognise me by my scent.... calming and comforting, maybe:)

Babies simply love to be touched..In fact, they thrive on it — touch is a critical part of growth and development. Same goes to Wafa'. All that skin-to-skin contact not only helps me and my baby bond, but it's comforting when she's upset and soothing when she's irritable.

She can now wave her arms and pump her legs. And as her hip and knee joints become more flexible, her kicks are getting stronger. Not only that, she can also bring both hands together and open and close her fingers.

Dear Amal Wafa', enjoy thy babies though it will not stay:) Umi and Walid will always there for you sayang!!

She is now 3 months old.And at this point of time, Wafa' is able to recognise me, hubby and of course her sis, Widaad. Somehow, here are some pics when Wafa' was 1 day old. Me and hubby were in the hospital and Widaad visited us.hehehheheh...Widaad stayed a night at Kak Nah's(widaad called her ibu) house when my hubby took care (actually accompany)me at the Hospital.

Opppsss...many asked me bout this ...how's the second experience when giving birth?hehhehe..honestly, it was heaven...Alhamdullillah:) And whoever out there dont want and are afraid of the pain of delivering babies..here's one tip! .....make it a short gap between the previous one and the new baby.hahahhaha...(but this tip works for the one who already had baby:) :) :))
