Stories of my precious gift:)

She is gorgeous!!

Kakak solehah!

She is lovable!!

Amal Wafa' is now ready to try eating finger foods by grabbing the spoon when I fed her. Wafa' may have a good appetite but not many teeth, so I'd rather start with foods that she can gum or that will dissolve easily in her mouth.

She laugh!!

She look at me!!

For most new moms, the last priority on the list is the item called "me." Baby care, holding down a job, and running a household all tend to come first. But making yourself a priority is important because if we don't, running the rest of our life is all the more difficult. It's like trying to operate a car without gas.

Me and hubby, we are now still in learning stage. 24 hours may not been enough for us!!!Since we can't add hours to the day or night, we would try reassigning the ones we have. Now its time to set a priorities and decide what we can let go of. Are there volunteer positions that might take a break from, for example? Another way to find time is to figure out ways we could save minutes on day-to-day activities.

Most importantly, (luckily hubby doesnt mind)..I sometimes don't bother or set any worries if the neatness of my home isn't up to your previous standards! (Only those who have more than 1 kid understand this situation!!) You can't imagine that the house will turn out to be "messy" a minute after you tidy it....plus with the two little babies....However, I have to force myself to make it very hygiene since my little Wafa' is now actively in a stage of crawling and rolling over the floor. She uses all of her senses to explore and learn about her world. As an Ummi, I have to make sure she has lots of safe things around to touch, mouth, and manipulate.... She'll love squishing a soft rubber ball, patting a piece of fake fur, gnawing a chilled teething ring, and hearing a bell jingle inside a stuffed animal....And I, have to ..work out for the best, safe and most importantly, hygiene objects for her to play with.

She's smiling!!

Compared to Widaad, she is now big sis. She begins to understand when things don't conform to grownup ideas. She'll laugh at something that's obviously wrong — like calling a cow as cat or calling her Walid as Abang(she imitates me). She'll also notice when something isn't quite right, like an eye missing from her stuffed bear or a new stain on the carpet or even her lil sis diapers that is left outside the toilet. She'll directly sound to her Walid ..."BUANG...BUANG...eee...DIRTYY"...

Kakak mithali:)

Yet,me and hubby are probably still understanding less than half of what Widaad says, she's getting a handle on most of the words we use around her...Plus,she's also having a vocabulary spurt and putting together pairs of words, like "ambek remote" or "nak nenennn."And sometimes, she may reject thing as "taknak" (melaka slang) or "takmau"(kedah slang). And, we'll laugh to each other seeing her cute face saying those words.

She's cute!!

It's a very wonderful feeling to see with our own eyes, the babies development day by day:) Very nice feeling..very cool....:)And I am very proud to be in this stage with the support of hubby, though there are plenty of things that are yet to discover.

She is so adorable:)

  1. When we talk to our little child or babies, we tend to talk "pelat"..like sudu as "shudhu" or satu as "shatu"..
