Widaad sleep soundly after went back from the Portguese Settlements

We went to Portuguese Settlements last Sunday night, just to see how they celebrate Christmas. Since it was 21st December , we believe that most of them are ready to celebrate their great new year.

We brought Widaad together just to ensure that she is happy with the light decorations at the settlements. But, as soon as we arrived there, Widaad has gone far to her own world. She slept all way when we were there until we reach home. So, hubby push her stroller and I snap on some photos there.

Mamu Najib is now married!

Umairah n Widaad:)

We are waiting for the 8 cars to move to the bride's house.Holding Widaad is my aunt

The most memorable moments for Najib and Yuslinda. Congrats!

Widaad looks so tired. She even does not have enough sleep in Kelantan.

Happily ever after..Ameeennn!

What's next..?Let's go home and make preparation for the groom ceremony in Kedah:)

Hubby is the chef for the day before wed's ceremony.Menu?Nasi Bukhari and Kurma Kambing:)

Here come the beauty and the handsome:)

Before they sit for the special dihes, hubby recited doa'...until death tear us apart

and may we share every moments , good and bad, together..

Tok abah holding Umairah n Tok Yang holding Widaad

That's it....:) everything is settled. Alhamdullillah:)

I took a one week leave last week for my brother wedding ceremony.Luckily, the ceremony is on the 3rd day of raya haji so I took a "lump sum" leave for this reason. The bride ceremony was held at the bride's house in Kelantan. Our journey, 5 cars convoy from Kedah to Kelantan takes about 6 hours to reach there.

Widaad use to call my bro, mamu Najib....Now, his routine wil be changed. Najib can no more hang out with his friends until early morning..Najib can no more stay at coffee shop to chat with his friends for ++ hours. And , now, Najib has not only responsibility towards himself, but also obligations to her wife, Yuslinda.
They once work in the same school, that's where they meet. Today, even Najib works in different school as Yus, the school difference is just like about 4 km...very near :)

A Day at Ledang

Hello, my Ummi is actually doing foot massage. She wants me accompany her to get into this waterfall as well.
Wow..I can see the small fish. They are all eating Ummi's finger nails...

Ummi, let's take a bath. I like this cold water.

Fine, if Ummi does not want to go, lemme go...I'll swim by myself

Or I'll ask Walid to bring me..

Ops, better not.The fish will bite me...No thanks!

OUhhh...I am very tired already. Let's go home:)

As usual, we will brainstorm on the programs during our weekends. Staying at home for a long time might bored us since hubby likes travelling. That's why I don't have to worry if I need to survey for 4 supermarket in order to purchase only tomatoes:D He will not bubbling, mumbling and get mad if he had to follow me to go shopping. He likes going out, travel and easily mingle out with any of my friends.

So, last weekend, we went to Taman Negara Ledang. At first we were bit worry since we are bringing along our baby to the "so-like forest" place. But as we arrived there, it was nothing much like a reecreational family park and indeed, we all had a great time there and we enjoy the fresh, cold waterfall very much:)
On our way back, we purposely use Muar route so that we can taste the Johor special dishes like Asam Pedas, Murtabak Singapore and Mee Bandung Muar.

Widaad Ibtisam is now 4 months and 4 weeks old

Widaad is 4 months and 4 weeks today. She perceives everyone like a stranger. Most of the time, she communicate with smile.Wide, sincere smile depicts a happy mode meanwhile cries means hunger, hot and uncomfortable. Sometimes, Widaad will scream as loud as she could, just to attract attention from us.

Things are getting better and smoother nowadays as we tend to understand her behavior. She is becoming more active today with her hands that can reach up to anything within her reachable boundaries.

Me, on the other hand, does not change much.I still can't get back to my original shape..Nevertheless, I am so excited that all this while, Widaad had put on her weight just because of my own breast milk.I didn't feed her anything other than breast milk.

What's the best way to lose weight?

Many new mums are understandably eager to work off the extra weight of pregnancy as soon as their baby is born. The immediate postnatal period is not a good time to start dieting, however, especially if you are establishign breastfeeding. Trying to speed up weight loss whilst breastfeeding may mean that your milk will contain chemicals called ketones which are potentially unhealthy for your baby.

Breastfeeding mums need around 200 calories a day more than when they were pregnant in order to provide enough nutritional milk for their baby and meet their own nutritional needs as well. Eating sensily and exercising regularly together (remember that brisk walking is an excellent form of exercise) give you the best chance of returning to a healthy weight more quickly and safely. Many women will lose weight simply through breastfeeding, but this is not true for everyone.

Remember that it took nine months to put on the weight, so don't expect to lose it too quickly. As a rule, try to regard the first year as the time it may take you to get back to normal weight safely (Mottola 2002). Any celebrities you read about losing their weight in six weeks are not doing themselves or their babies any favours. A good goal is to lose no more than half a kilo or a pound a week. This is not only safe but will also help to ensure that the weight stays off.

The best way is to do some form of aerobic exercise, such as brisk walking or swimming, as well as eating sensibly. Focus on fast movements using your arms and legs that make your heart beat faster. To get the most of out your workout, exercise at 60 to 80 per cent of your maximum heart rate. This means that you should feel a little out of breath but still be able to hold a conversation (Davies et al 2003).

Work out for at least 30 minutes of exercise - include exercises targeted at toning the muscles most affected by pregnancy - at least three to five days a week. If you weren't active during your pregnancy, start with a 15-minute programme and gradually increase to 30 minutes (Davies et al 2003). If you tapered off your fitness routine as your pregnancy progressed, begin at the level you stopped exercising at when you were pregnant and increase the intensity or time as you feel ready. If you develop any aches or pains, ask your GP for advice.

new pose!

Widaad's watching tv!

Driving?

Widaad's starting to draw conclusions about the world around her . She's looking at everything with curiosity, even her own reflection. She can sit staright, of course only within counted seconds...(but sooo nice to see her)

What's more..when I prop an unbreakable mirror next to her or sit her in front of mirror she'll love to stare at hers — or anyone else's — reflection, and she may show her delight by an all-out gum grin.

We learnt that(by reading and listening the folks) by cooing or making noises at her, and by describing even the most mundane household chore, we're not only connecting with her but also encouraging her to express herself. Wait and see if she "answers."She is becoming more animated and engaging (even with others) — flashing smiles, oohing, and cooing.

And the fun has really begun as she's starting to laugh. But we really had to work on it..And the expert to make people laugh is of course hubby.I only managed to do that once...But, don't worry.I'll work out for it:)

Islam is pretty

Like usual, when I have some leisure times in the office, I'll slip the online news. We arrived in the office early this morning since hubby had to attend his ILMU meeting. What capture my interest is the news I read in BBC,"New Appeal Filed For Bali Bombers"

Terrorist attacks on targets in New York and Washington which caused the death of thousands of innocent civilians, this concept has once again returned to the top of the international agenda.
As Muslims, we completely condemn these attacks and offer our condolences to the American people.

Islam is by no means the source of this violence and that violence has no place in Islam.
We strongly condemn the cruel terrorist acts which targeted the innocent people of the United States.

Even though the hijackers have Muslim identities, the terror they perpetrated cannot be labelled "Islamic terror", just as it would not be called "Jewish terror" if the perpetrators were Jews or "Christian terror" if they were Christians.

That is because, murdering innocent people in the name of religion is unacceptable. We need to keep in mind that, among those who were killed in Washington or New York or Bali, there were people who loved Jesus (Christians), Prophet Moses (Jews) and Muslims. According to Islam, murdering innocent people is a great sin that, unless forgiven by God, brings torment in Hell.
Thus, a religious person who has fear of God can never commit such an act.

All the three Theistic religions command love, mercy and peace. Terror, on the other hand, is the opposite of religion; it is cruel, merciless and it demands bloodshed and misery. This being the case, while looking for the perpetrators of a terrorist act, its origins should be sought in disbelief rather than in religion. People with a fascist, communist, racist or materialist outlook on life should be suspected as potential perpetrators. The name or the identity of the triggerman is not important. If he can kill innocent people without blinking an eye, whatever his label is, then he is a disbeliever, not a believer. He is a murderer with no fear of God, whose main ambition is to shed blood and to give harm.

For this reason, "Islamic terror" is quite a erroneous concept which contradicts Islam's message. That is because, the religion of Islam can by no means concur with terror. On the contrary, Muslims are responsible for preventing terrorist acts and bringing peace and justice to the world.

This being the case, how did the popular term "Islamic terror" emerge?
What has been examined so far reveals that it is not possible to talk about an "Islamic" terror. Indeed, a closer look at the characteristics of the perpetrators explicitly reveals that this terror is not a religious but a social phenomenon.
